Q1 2024 Roundtable & Survey

The Virtuvest Quarterly roundtable focussed on the release of the Sustainability Disclosure Regulation (SDR) at the end of 2023. Participants provided their views on the statement as well contributing follow-up questions to the regulator.

Feedback and follow-up meetings were undertaken with the FCA and a member survey was undertaken to aggregate findings.

UKSIF & Good Money Week

The Virtuvest partners and members celebrated Good Money Week at UKSIF's sustainable investment drinks.

Collaboration is key in this realm and Virtuvest is pleased to support the work that UKSIF are undertaking on behalf of the finance industry. This includes the well-needed policy influencing through to knowledge sharing.

Q3 & Q4 23 Roundtables: Communication

The Virtuvest Quarterly Rountables focused on Communication. From regulatory reporting requirements through to data provisions, the membership discussed some of the larger challenges they face related to this topic.

Feedback and follow-up meetings were undertaken with the FCA and other influential groups (ESG Accord) to ensure practioner insights were being considered and incorporated into legislation.

SRI Services Annual Good Money Week Event

Virtvuest supported SRI Services and their Good Money Week Event. Representing our members, Rowan participated in the 'Almost open mic' event where she discussed collaborative engagement cross-industry. You can watch here.

Oxford Sustainable Finance Summit

Virtuvest attended the 2nd Oxford Sustainable Finance Summit to contribute to discussions on topical issues alongside regulators, policymakers and academics. Subjects ranged from Voluntary Carbon Markets through to Biodiversity and insights were

Sustainable Investment Festival 2023

Paris, on behalf of Virtuvest, was invited alongside James Alexander (CEO of UK SIF) to a panel discussing the FCA's proposed SDR regulation. Virtuvest fed back directly to the FCA on the proposals.

The festival is held annually by Investment Week for investment professionals working in the Sustainable space.

Impact Investing - Roundtable Outcomes

The Virtuvest Q2 Roundtable discussed Impact and what it meant to clients, advisers, investment professionals and regulators. Subsequently, Virtuvest engaged with the FCA who asked us to provide further insight.

With feedback from our members via a survey, Virtuvest provided valuable insights on Impact to assist the FCA with their understanding and definition of the subject.

FCA: Sustainable Disclosure Requirements

Virtuvest contributed member insights to the FCA's Disclosures and Labels Advisory Group in Q1 2023 and collaboratively discussed the challenges with the proposals.

Members were able to benefit from shared concerns and use Virtuvest's summary when writing their own firms response to the Consultation Paper.
